We are Christians from the Chinese congregation at the Tri-Valley Chinese Bible Church (TVCBC) in Pleasanton, California. In April 2024, we launched the Tri-Valley Young Adult (TVYA) Ministry.

Although most of us are first-generation immigrants whose native language is not English, we have chosen to start this English-speaking ministry. Our goal is to share our Christian faith with English-speaking young people, particularly our next generation, while also deepening and purifying our own faith in God.

We have noticed that many young people who once attended church with their parents tend to stop going and abandon their faith when they leave home for college. This trend suggests that the biblical teachings or education they received may have been largely ineffective. Additionally, the rise of "wokeness" and various leftist ideologies have distorted people's understanding of God's Word. As a result, what is often taught or preached in churches can be empty or even false doctrines, disconnected from real-world challenges, making them ultimately useless or even harmful. For young people, this disconnection often leads to abandoning their faith altogether. For those who continue attending church, their "Christian faith" may be nothing more than superstition or, as Karl Marx called it, "the opium of the people."

This issue seems to be widespread, affecting many churches not only in the United States but also around the world.

As the Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6:10 says, "Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven", we feel a strong calling to address the root cause of this problem by connecting biblical teachings with practical applications in our daily lives. We believe our Christian faith is genuine only when we know how to use biblical teachings to guide our everyday living.

Additionally, we envision that the TVYA Ministry will also be  a unique and valuable Christian faith-based community where young adults can receive guidance and consultation for their career growth and other aspects of life from more experienced adults, many of whom are seasoned industry professionals, scientists,  business executives and entrepreneurs.

We warmly welcome everyone to join us in serving others, being served, and receiving blessings.

We created this logo to reflect our mission and vision. The logo incorporates three key elements:

1. The Cross: Symbolizing the gospel and biblical teachings.
2. The Light Bulb: Representing what Jesus taught his disciples in Matthew 5:14: “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden."
3. The Grounding Symbol in Circuitry: Signifying our belief that Christians can be the light of the world only when they know how to apply biblical teachings to their lives on earth.
